DVSC suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the 5th round of the Champions League.

Just like in the away game, Debrecen were defeated by Liverpool 1-0 in Group E of the Champions League. The visitors took the early initiative by a goal from Ngog and although Debrecen could pose no danger on Reina's goal in the first half, Liverpool did not manage to cruise through our defense as many would predict. The picture did not change a lot after the interval as Loki only recorded the first shot at goal in the 81st minute. Coulibaly could have made everything different in the 92nd but he missed our biggest chance to equalize so the world class opposition took all points from the Puskás Stadium.

They had no reason to celebrate as Fiorentina knocked them out of the Champions League by beating Lyon 1-0 in the other game of the group. It is now decided that DVSC-TEVA will finish fourth while Liverpool will continue in the Europa League.
