Not only Debrecen town is overjoyed by the possibility to see their favourites in the Champions League the whole of the country burns in Loki fever. Five supporter aeroplanes and many buses will set out today and tomorrow to see the team's debut at Anfield Road against world class side Liverpool.
The three home games are nearly sold out, from today the Budapest ticket offices will not even open, the remaining tickets can only bought in Debrecen.
The team will travel to England today and key player Rudolf's presence in tomorrow's starting eleven is in doubt after the injury he picked up during the international camp. Manager András Herczeg has other worries as well, young central midfielder, József Varga, will definately have to sit out for the game as he collected his second yellow card during the game against Levski.
"It will be a great experience" says Herczeg "a lifetime experience for my players to play against players of such quality, and they will do the best to be up for this one. On the other hand we must not get carried away, they all have to stand with both feet on the ground. Rudolf, Varga and Dombi are certainly to be missed."
Captain Kiss Zoltán was interviewed by the national sport newspaper. "We have received six beautiful gifts to be here in the groups stages. Everybody is aware of the little chance we have here, but as long as the ball is round and the best shots land in the net against any opposition in any stadium we must not stop fighting."
