DVSC was formed on 12 March 1902 under the name of Egyetértés Football Club. They separated from Egyetértés in the summer of 1912 to set up Debreceni Vasutas Sport Club. Over its history of more than 100 years the club has counted four wins in the Hungarian championship (2005, 2006, 2007, 2009), the Hungarian Cup and the Hungarian Super Cup as well.
